Your Journey, Day by Day
Day 1: Makassar Arrival – Karst Wonders & City Lights
Arrive at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. Your licensed English & German-speaking guide Hendrik welcomes you. First stop: Rammang-Rammang, Maros — a hidden karst village straight out of Avatar. Boat trip through the river + "Stone Garden".
Overnight:HERPER PERINTIS HOTEL | Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: The Road to Toraja – Coffee & Mountain Air
Scenic 8-hour drive to the highlands of Tana Toraja. Stop at Bamba Puang for legendary Toraja coffee with 360° mountain views that reset your mind.
Arrive in Rantepao, breathe the cool 18°C air, and settle into your hotel.

Day 3: South Toraja – The Cultural Heart
Walk through living history:
1. Lemo – Royal cliff graves with rows of Tau-Tau wooden statues watching over the valley
2. Sangrampuang – Sacred baby graves inside living trees, a unique Toraja tradition
3. Tampang Allo – Ancient natural cave burial site with centuries of stories
4. Karuaya – Authentic village of traditional Tongkonan houses still lived in today

Day 4: North Toraja – Nature Escape
Hike and explore untouched villages & landscapes: Palawa traditional village, Tinimbayo Hill with endless rice fields, village trekking through local farms, Bori Megalithic Stone Site, and Lombok Parinding Cave with 100+ year-old burial jars.

Day 5: Rambu Solo – The Sacred Ceremony + Traditional Market
The highlight of your journey: Witness an authentic Rambu Solo funeral ritual. This is not a show. It’s a powerful, colorful celebration of life, family, and ancestors. One of the rarest cultural experiences on Earth.
Afternoon: Visit Bolu Traditional Market – the beating heart of Toraja trade, see the famous buffalo market.
Overnight: Toraja Santai Hotel | Meals: Full Board
Day 6: Toraja – Sengkang – Lake Tempe Floating Village
Leave the mountains behind. 6-hour drive to Sengkang, land of the Bugis people.
Afternoon: Traditional canoe boat trip on Lake Tempe. Visit a floating fishing village for 45 minutes. Meet a local family, enjoy coffee + fried bananas, and experience Bugis hospitality. If weather allows, sunset on the boat ride back.
Overnight:SERMANY HOTEL | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7: Sengkang – Back to Makassar City Tour
After breakfast, 5-hour drive back to Makassar.
Afternoon: Short Makassar City Tour to revisit the 99-Dome Mosque for sunset photos + Losari Beach promenade.
Overnight:ARYA DUTA | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 8: Makassar Airport – Departure – Tour End
Final day. Transfer to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport for your onward flight. Tour ends. Safe flight and Sampai Jumpa!
